12.07.2010 Regular hydrofoil service between Kaunas and the Curonian Spit resumed this summer
Nemuno Linija has resumed the popular hydrofoil service between Lithuania's second largest city and the most picturesque seaside resort on the Curonian Lagoon. Starting from July, the boat will leave Kaunas for a 3,5-hour journey on River Nemunas to reach Nida. The scenic route along old castles, typical villages and pristine nature on a superfast hydrofoil (70 kmph) offers a resfreshing and comfortable way to reach the beaches of the Baltic Sea. Nida is 240 km (150 miles) away from Kaunas by water, from which approx. 30 km (19 miles) go through Curonian Lagoon. Deck ticket prices start from EUR 29 one-way and may be booked via ETB.
